August 22, 2011Improved menus are here!
Burned a little midnight oil and the new menus are up and functioning. I have been warned against to many changes too often and I am satisfied that these menus will improve performance enough that there shouldn't be any major changes for a while, just additions in content.
Removed extraneous results from Strong's Greek Dictionary search.

August 21, 2011 Corrected error in Mark.
Somehow, I associated twenty four chapters ot Mark, substituting in chapters from Luke as the overage. That error has been corrected, and Mark now has only sixteen chapters.
August 18, 2011New menus will go anywhere in scripture in just one click!
With some research, and some HTML/CSS magic ju ju (its a technical term), the menus will now link to every chapter of scripture. This means the ability to go to any chapter of scripture in one click! The new menus will take a few days to incorporate.
August 11, 2011New! Drop down menus
Work went quickly thanks to the new structure. The changes are being uploaded as I type, so you might run into them before you see this. The menus go as far as linking to each book. A little more research and I might be able to bring it down to chapters, if it can be done without looking cluttered.
Feedback is always appreciated. Thank you for browsing. I hope it helps in your studies.
August 10, 2011 Testing drop down menus
Uploaded some new drop down menus onto the front page and Obadiah to see how well they function. Had an opportunity to look at the menus on a newer smartphone and they worked, although they are a bit finicky. Decided to go ahead with them.
Fixed Help and Site Map links, There are enough links that my software is having trouble checking them all. Please e-mail me if you find a broken link. Please include the page address of the broken link and a short note where you were trying to get to.
August 9, 2011 It always amazes me what doesn't occur to me.
I figure with all the time I have considered how to make navigation through all of this efficient, I would have thought of centralizing it in the single element common in every page, the top navigation bar. So, I am experimenting with implimenting drop down menus from the horizontal navigation bar.
I have taken a look at jump menus and they look, well, tacky. They will work in a simpler mobile site. but for now they have been discarded in favor of something else.
August 6, 2011 Minor changes in look
Have been researching how this appears on smartphones, and have made some alterations to assist useability on smaller screens. Increased height of of navigation bars. Increased width of left navigation bar with intent to detect mobile devices and increase font size and/or add jump menus.
Corrected error in alignment of menus in left navigation panel. Menus now center correctly.
August 6, 2011 Divided Greek Word List into alphabetical sections.
This is a listing of greek words in order of their Strong's number, followed by their inflections. The single file was getting to large for my editor to handle, an indication it needed to be cut up. Not really sure of the intrinsic value of such a project. However, in the process of linking to each Greek word to its Strong's definition, these file are created. Peruse it as you may.

Studying the meaning and grammar the original language the New Testament was written in will be the best help to understanding its meaning. One of the projects is to link a Greek New Testament text, word by word, to the Strong's Dictionary definitions, and a grammar guide.
The Strong's Dictionary provides a brief origin, definition, and listing of comparable english words. One important fact to understand is that most instances of a word are linked back to a basic form of that word. Just as you would not find all forms of the word welcome, such as welcoming, or welcomed in an english dictionary, so it is in Strong's Greek. Therefore, for the layman such as myself, unfamilliar with all the variations of the Greek language, a guide of greater breadth is necessary, hence the grammar guide
The grammar guide is a table of the inflections of each base word, and a listing of their Pronunciation, Major 1 (noun, verb, etc.), Major 2 (article, relative, etc.), Person, Tense, Voice, Mood, Case, Number, Gender, and Degree of each, where applicable. Careful study of the combined information should give the authors' original meaning, in as much as possible. A complete understanding of the text still lacks the historical and cultural contextual references.
The progressive nature of this work may appear haphazard. As one word is linked, all instances of that word are linked throughout the Greek text. Currently completed verses are few. They include Matthew 1:1 to Matthew 3:28; 1st Corinthians 11:1-4, and of course, 2nd Timothy 2:15 as it is the signature scripture of this site.
