Make new cart, tie two kine, put ark on cart, put jewels in coffer by side; send it away

12 Kine take cart straight to Beth-shemesh; lords of Philistines follow to border

14 Cart came and stood, great stone there; cut up cart for wood and offered kine as burnt offering
15 Levite took down ark and coffer, put them on great stone; men of Beth-shemesh made burnt offerings and sacrifices
16 Philistine lords return. Enumeration of offering; stone ark was set down remains to this day
19 Lord smote Beth-shemesh because they looked into the ark; people lamented
21 Sent messengers to Kirjath-jearim, saying Philistines have brought ark; come fetch it

7 1 Men of Kirjath-jearim fetched ark, brought it to house of Aminidab, sanctified Eleazar to keep it

3 Samuel spoke to israel to repent. Israel put away gods, served Lord only

17 Will take tenth of sheep; ye shall be his servants
18 You will cry out, Lord will not hear you
19 People refused to obey; said Nay, will have king
20 Be like nations; king may judge us, go out before us, fight battles
21 Samuel rehearsed words to Lord. Lord said Hearken, make then a king
