Communication

Genesis 7:15-17 15 And so great was the faith of Enoch, that he led the people of God, and their enemies came to battle against them, and he spake the word of the Lord, and the earth trembled, and the mountains fled, even according to his command. 16 And the rivers of water were turned out of their course, and the roar of the lions was heard out of the wilderness. 17 And all nations feared greatly, so powerful was the word of Enoch, and so great was the power of the language which God had given him.
Joshua 1:8 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalms 15:1, 3 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in they holy hill of Zion? 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor.
Psalms 19:14 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalms 34:13 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Psalms 37:30 30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
Psalms 50:19-21 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set covenants in order before thine eyes.
Psalms 63:3 3 Because thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Psalms 141:3, 5 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
5 When the righteous smite me with the word of the Lord it is a kindness; and when they reprove me, it shall be an excellent oil, and shall not destroy my faith; for yet my prayer also shall be for them. I delight not in their calamities.
Proverbs 4:24 24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Proverbs 10:6, 11, 13, 14, 17-21 6 Blessings are upon the head of the just; but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life; but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found; but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge; but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction; but he that refuseth reproof erreth. 18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth. 21 The lips of the righteous feed many; but fools die for want of wisdom.
31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut out. 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
Proverbs 15:1,
7, 12, 23, 26, 28
1 A soft answer turneth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. 3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. 4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life; but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. 5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction; but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge; but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him; neither will he go unto the wise.
23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord; but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer; but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
Proverbs 18:6-8 6 A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. 7 A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. 8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Proverbs 20:19-20 19 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips. 20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Proverbs 21:23 23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue, keepeth his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 25:9-12, 15, 23 9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbor himself; and discover not a secret to another; 10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away. 11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. 12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
23 The north wind driveth away rain; so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
Ecc10:12-14 12 The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. 13 The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness; and the end of his talk is mischievous madness. 14 A fool also is full of words; a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
Malachi 2:4-8 4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts. 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. 6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips; he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. 7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. 8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
Ephesians 4:29-32 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
James 3

1 Strive not for Mastery
2 If offend not in word, able to bridle body
4 Tongue compared to helm of ship, fire
7 Beasts tamed, tongue cannot be tamed
9 Same tongue blesses and curses
11 Does fountain flow sweet and salt water, fig tree bear olives
13 Let wise man show good conversation, works with wisdom
16 On envying and strife
17 Of the wisdom from above, fruit of righteousness

1Peter 3:8-10 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another; love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous; 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile;
