November 7, 2013 Yet another BIG, long term error found.
In updating 1^st Samuel, I have found the first five verses of chapter seven are missing and the next versed are duplicated, and, based on the copies of past versions that have been kept, has been that way since the beginning. Somehow, the same error has not made it into the e-book text, probably because I started from a text file for that work.

November 1, 2013 New search finally works!
  I have tried every combination I can think of. I have been back and forth with the hosting service for the past month, trying to get the searches to work, and today, voila! The new search engine works!!!
  One of the changes in the update will be more accurate searches. An upgrade in the search engine now gives the ability set aside text within a page that is not to be searched. This will allow the removal of Chapter headings and Top/Prev/Next links from searches, resuting in only the text being searched.
  One other thing that I have noticed is that the UTF-8 coding the Greek New Testament is written in shows up as greek letters, as opposed to raw UTF-8 (e.g. β vs. β). I am not sure if this means what I think, but if it does, the greek text may be directly searchable now. Time will tell...
