May 18, 2011 Romans, 1st Corinthians and 2nd Corinthians updated
Somehow, quite a while ago judging by how far I had to dig into backups, First Corinthians was copied over Second Corinthians. Second Corinthians is now restored in both this version and the upcoming one.

Corrected some errors in Numbers and Deuteronomy.

May 13, 2011 Mark updated

May 12, 2011 Pullig the trigger. Matthew updated
The more professional approach has won out. The current version, will remain, minus the improvements of the last month. Notifications of progress will continue until the work is complete and ready for posting. My apologies for withdrawing content already posted. Thank you for your patience.
Updating the most commonly used books first, or maybe just jumping around. Anyway, Matthew is ready and the gospels are being updated next.
The estimate of a couple months is dependent on the introduction of a new bambino into the family and surrounding events. No excuses or apologies for that one, c'est la vi.

May 10, 2011 Waxing Shakesperian. Added Topic search
To revert or not to revert, that is the question. Whether tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows cast my way by those given to the frustration of not finding that which is purports to be better, truer, and speeds the search for knowledge, but who in their quest have entered a maze of dead ends, in which the fulfillment of their desire cannot be easily found. Or, indeed, whether tis wisdom to present that which is simpler in form and construction, where all passages are all linked, which is more tried and proved by experience, and does not yet offer simpler results, yet, tis no less true, but contained in a clutter. These are the decisions that weigh my mind, cloud my brow, and rob me of the sweet rest given those assured of their choice.
How a main division that there is no search for could possibly have escaped my notice baffles me, but it has. However, this oversight has been corrected, and a new search for the Topic section will be posted regardless of other changes.

May 9, 2011 The known knowns, the known unknowns, and the unknown unknowns. Numbers and Deuteronomy updated.
As sections have been updated, a good deal of effort has been in maintaining, not breaking, links. However, there are thousands of links to track, some of which are broken in random places. The problem is not so much in navigational links, those are known. The problem is in the unknowns, or in reference links within and between the scriptures, topics, and reference materials, which are the real meat of the site. Upon consideration, a more professional approach would be to rebuild behind the scenes and present it complete. I hesitate to do this because it would require taking down changes already posted. What to do, what to do...
Numbers and Deuteronomy have been updated.

May 6, 2011 Ok, on with the show. Leviticus updated
Everything that needed to be redone has been brought up to specs and when it is all done, it will produce better overall results. Estimating a bit more than one book a day, hopefully the changes will be complete in a couple months. I am the only one doing this after all, and probably the only one using it. May 5, 2011 And now...fix the fix
I'm not sure what is more frustrating, realizing that you are going to have to restart the assembly process with a different set of atoms, or, realizing you should have known you that should have used a different set when you started. To be clear, I have had to redo all of the files I had finished, but now in a different format. The new format I had played around with and rejected, but have now decided will work better. Nothing really looks different, but it will require less work overall to complete, hopefully.
Format rewrite complete in Genesis and Exodus. Other broken files to follow...

May 3, 2011 Simple fix... or complex solution? Exodus updated.
How is it that you have one, little, simple idea. In the implementation of that, a few, minor problems appear. Should be easily repaired, right? Instead of a simple fix, you end up reassembling the earth,...atom by atom. The seemingly mild break of the bad linking behavior I thought I had repaired yesterday is now going to require a rewrite in every single verse. On the positive side, there is a fix, and it will not require a major change in content.
Rewrite of the repair in Genesis is complete. Exodus complete.

May 2, 2011 Improved search in Genesis.
Last night, I uploaded the improvements for Genesis and did a search for "number" which returned 51 matches. This morning, after the server re-indexed, I refreshed the page and the search returned 13 matches, a great improvement, because the fewer results came from the scriptural text.
Repaired some bad linking behavior where clicking on a link was supposed to lead to a specific place on a page, but was not. Unfortunately, the repair is going to slow the implimentation of improvements
